Not too long ago, BioWare producer Michael Gamble revealed howAnthemfans can redeem the game’s demo codeand how early players will be able to pre-load the file ahead of it officially becoming available next week. Now, another member of the studio’s development team has decided to step forward with information about the title and reconfirm that the forthcoming action-RPG will contain matchmaking for all activities.
According to a tweet fromAnthem’s lead producer, Ben Irving, should players decide to go it alone in the game, BioWare has designed it so that it will be easier for casual players to get teamed up with groups for any of the content available. The inclusion of matchmaking for all activities should definitely be a handy feature for solo Freelancers, particularly when it comes to encountering the title’s more demanding endgame content such as its raids and dungeon-like experiences.
For those unaware,Anthemexecutive producer Mark Darrah confirmed during E3 2018 that the game would havematchmaking for all content, assuaging solo players' concerns that they would be required to constantly have friends on standby just to play the title. So, considering how details can often get lost in the mix during the hectic stream of news coming out of the annual electronics and video game expo, it’s nice that Irving has relayed the information yet again.
BeyondAnthem’s matchmaking itself, BioWare has stressed that while approaching the game asa single-player experience is possible, it may not be as rewarding in the long run, as the studio has designed the title to truly “shine” with squad play. Taking all of this into consideration, though,Anthemcould still be a lot of fun whether one gives it a go as a single player or embraces it as a multiplayer game, but it’s safe to say fans will just have to wait for the game’s full launch to completely know for sure.
Anthemis scheduled to launch on August 16, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
