After announcing thatTwitchhad indefinitely pulled all of her ad revenue due to posting non-advertiser-friendly content, Amouranth has revealed this would be a hit of nearly $500,000 in annual income.
The news comes in light of the ongoinghot tub controversy. Everyone has split opinions on it, from xQc feeling that hot tub streams are “pathetic” to Valkyrae not seeing what the big deal is all about. Then there’s Amouranth, possibly the biggest hot tub streamer out there currently. Of course, by monetizing her own body, Amouranth feels it’s just a clever way of using the loophole in Twitch’d ambiguous Terms of Service, though she has been banned multiple times for her sexual content. But now, Twitch is trying to take the incentive away from doing these hot tub streams by pulling all of her ad revenue.

However, upon revealing that herad revenue had been pulled, Amouranth explained that she’s not concerned about the money for herself, but if this happens to other hot tub streamers that rely on this income, it could be problematic to have their ad revenue pulled without warning the same way that she wasn’t given any notice prior to it happening, she claims. One Redditor commented, “That’s a serious pay cut you just got handed without notice,” in response to Amouranth revealing her monthly cut of ad revenue on the forum site.
Upon hearing the news regarding Amouranth’s ad revenue, some other streamers have either shown support for the hot tub streamer or are happy to see it. The Canadian streamerxQcfinds himself on the side of people wanting an end to the hot tub streams once and for all, and he’s glad to see Twitch taking some action on the hot tub meta.
BecauseTwitch’s efforts have been seen assneaky and non-transparent, some hot tub streamers and similar content creators may be taking Amouranth’s situation as a warning signal for their own channels.
