One of the best running gags fromStar Wars RebelswasEzra Bridgerusing different aliases, and it’s possible some of them might make an appearance inAhsokaseason 2. After growing up on the streets for most of his life, Ezra developed a quick wit and a knack for using different names to get himself out of sticky situations.

Part of his work as a rebel was infiltrating the Empire on multiple occasions, and his knack for lying to someone’s face with confidence came in handy many times. This wasn’t showcased well inAhsoka, mainly because Ezra didn’t have many chances to impersonate someone else.

The only time audiences saw Ezra take on someone else’s identity was inAhoskaepisode 8, where he took a stormtrooper’s commlink to fake a check-in and stowaway onGrand Admiral Thrawn’s ship, theChimaera. InAhsokaseason 1, audiences only got a taste of the wit Ezra is known for, but that may not be the case moving forward.

According to Dave Filoni, Ezra will have an expanded role inAhsokaseason 2, and audiences can hope for more impersonations and some of his good trouble back in the mainStar Warsgalaxy. With Ezra comes the use of many aliases, so it’s possible audiences will see him use them again - though some are more likely than others.

5The Emperor’s Nephew

Ezra only referred to himself as Emperor Palpatine’s nephew a few times, all of which came in the early days ofRebels. In particular, we see Ezra yelling at stormtroopers that his uncle won’t be happy with them inRebelsseason 1, episode 2. This alias in particular is funny solely because it’s something an inexperienced rebel teenager would use.

It’s certainly possible for Ezra to be once again captured by the Empire, and more likely Thrawn’sImperial Remnant, butit’s far less likely that he would refer to himself as the dead Emperor’s nephew. Additionally, with Palpatine widely thought dead, the alias wouldn’t work on anyone except a very out-of-touch stormtrooper.

4Commander Brom Titus

Commander Brom Titus was a recurring Imperial commander who had multiple run-ins with theGhostcrew. One of the more memorable moments with Commander Titus came with theImperial Interdictor, which was able to pull Rebel ships out of hyperspace.

While this ship was powerful for the Empire, Titus somehow managed to let the captured rebels escape, leading to the Interdictor’s destruction. This led to Commander Brom Titus getting demoted. Eventually, while Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren, and Chopper were at the Jalindi relay, they attempted to redirect a ship called theMarauderby having Ezra impersonate Commander Brom Titus.

Unfortunately for Ezra, Commander Brom Titus was commanding theMarauder, leading to the rebels being discovered. The moment is hilarious, butbecause Commander Brom Titus died at the Jalindi relay and was an Imperial officer, it doesn’t seem likely that he’d pick up that mantle inAhsokaseason 2, though it could be an interesting accent to bring back.

3Jabba The Hutt

Ezra Bridger’s best-known alias by far is Jabba the Hutt. He used it so often that even ISB Agent Alexsandr Kallus referred to him as it when they came face-to-face. Ezra Bridger actor Eman Esfandi has even posted memes on social media referring to himself and his character as the famous Hutt.

Jabba the Hutt, of course, was killed by Leia Organa at the beginning ofReturn of the Jedi. These events happened years after Ezra Bridger had gone missing in theRebelsseries finale, meaning he definitely wouldn’t have known about the crime boss’s death.

Additionally,it’s never really clear if Ezra even knows who Jabba the Hutt is. It’s assumed that Jabba’s name is simply one that Ezra had just heard around and figured it was good enough to steal.

However, with Ezra’s maturity and the fact that Jabba the Hutt was dead, if Ezra did use the Jabba the Hutt moniker, it would be more for fan service than anything else.

2Lando Calrissian

Billy Dee Williams made multiple appearances inRebels’first two seasons as Lando Calrissian. During these appearances, it was clear that his relationship with theGhostcrew was tumultuous at best. Multiple times,Ezra took on the moniker of Lando Calrissian, especially when doing some shady dealings.

Considering Ezra will be working alongside theNew RepublicinAhsokaseason 2, it’s very unlikely that he will be doing many, if any, shady dealings. Additionally, while Ezra was exiled on Peridea,Lando Calrissian became a war hero, climbing the ranks and becoming a General in the Rebel Alliance.

Because of this, it’s likely that whenever Ezra tries to use the name Lando Calrissian, he’ll be found out quickly. While it would be a fun callback and interesting to see just how much Ezra learned about the Galactic Civil War, it doesn’t seem likely that the name Lando Calrissian will make an appearance inAhsokaseason 2.

1Dev Morgan

Dev Morgan was the name thatEzra Bridger first used early inRebelsseason 1 when he pretended to be an Imperial cadet. While there, Ezra went by the name Dev Morgan, but had close relationships with other recurring characters in Zare Leonis and Jai Kell.

While Ezra and Dev eventually escaped with Jai Kell while getting the necessary intelligence for theGhostcrew, we would see him briefly use the name again when Zare Leonis told Ezra he was leaving Lothal to find his sister.

Though Ezra Bridgerhasn’t used the name Dev Morgan sinceRebelsseason 1, it’s still likely a good alias to use. It’s unclear what role Ezra will play inAhsokaseason 2, but ifHera Syndullaand the New Republic need intelligence from their enemies, Ezra may be the person to send.

No one in the mainStar Warsgalaxy has seen him for nearly a decade, and his appearance has changed. This would mean that Ezra could bring back one of his old aliases, andDev Morgan is the one who is least likely to garner any unwanted attention.

WithAhsokaseason 2 on the horizon, Ezra Bridger may only be working within the confines of the New Republic, but given his rebellious past and years of isolation, audiences may see him not playing nicely with others. If Ezra Bridger does use an alias inAhsokaseason 2, it could a new one audiences have never heard before.
