Initially, there seemed a bit of confusion among fans, as they thoughtTwitchhad suspended the streamer for three days. She responded to a fan on Twitter and confirmed that she gave her self the three-day suspension, but Twitch only gave her the 24-hour ban. However, she is requesting an official 3-day suspension from Twitch to match the self-imposed hiatus she is giving herself.
Unfortunately for Alinity, this is not the first time she has found herself marred in controversy.Alinity has a reputation for possible animal cruelty, so much so that people have called for her to be banned over animal abuse. Some Twitch users who are rising up in this most recent Alinity case may be doing so with her past possible transgressions in mind.
Alinity was once investigated byThe Saskatoon Society for the Prevention of Crueltyafter throwing her cat on a live stream. The investigation found that the actions were “not malicious in nature.” However, a petition was signed by at least 32,000 individuals to have her banned from Twitch, yet she overcame that controversy and finds herself in an entirely different one today.
Many fans online were upset with how long it took for Twitter to ban Alinity for her wardrobe malfunction, and they took to her Twitter page to complain.Alinity reminded them that Twitch handles the bans, not her, so she asked them to redirect their hate towards the streaming platform. Twitch has been known for suspension/banning inconsistencies, so time will tell if Alinity will have to impose her self ban alone or if Twitch will add on the additional two days.
