A corner of theStar Warsuniverse that has always been fascinating is the bounty hunter underworld. A collective of those who travel the galaxy capturing or killing their targets on behalf of whoever pays them the most credits. Sometimes these bounty hunters will work for established bodies of government, like the Galactic Republic or even the Empire. Other times, bounty hunters will be little more than the henchmen of crime syndicates, like the Hutt Clan orthe Crimson Dawn.
However they choose to conduct their business, they all have one thing in common: they’reStar Warsbounty hunters. Gunslinging, technologically-advanced space farers willing to do whatever it takes for a hefty payday. The stories of these people in the Star Wars universe are utterly fascinating, and should be explored more in the realm of live-action. And theStar Warscomicshave a plethora of bounty hunters to choose from, including those who are simply bounty hunter-adjacent, but still firmlyexisting in the bounty hunter ‘scene’ ofStar Warsunderworld. Here are 10 that need to make the jump to live-actionright now!

10Beilert Valance
A Badass Cyborg Bounty Hunter in Star Wars
Beilert Valance is a bounty hunter who’s been around since the beginning ofStar Wars Legends. Debuting inStar Wars#16 (1977), Valance was originally an Imperial who was turned into a cyborg after a debilitating injury. After his cybernetic ‘rebirth’, Valance became a bounty hunterwho hunted Luke Skywalker and the gang across the galaxy, as they became the most wanted people in the universe following the destruction of the Death Star inA New Hope(which this comic takes place immediately following).
Valance has a similar story inStar Warscanon, but the biggest takeaway regarding his character is his badass nature and aesthetic. His face is half-human, half-Terminator-esque cyborg, which alone is just begging for the live-action treatment. Plus, he’s alive during the events of the currentStar Warssaga (as depicted inThe Mandalorian,Ahsoka,Book of Boba Fett, etc.), so including him in live-action would be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

9Doctor Aphra
Willing to Act as a Star Wars Bounty Hunter When It Suits Her
While it’s true that Doctor Aphra isn’t technically a full-time bounty hunter, it’s also true that she’s notnota bounty hunter. Indeed, Aphra only cares about artifacts (she is an archeologist at heart, after all), and she doesn’t care how she makes her big score. Aphra has worked with Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and practically everyone in-between to suit her needs, andAphra’s certainly taken on jobs that constitute the work of a bounty hunteron numerous occasions.
Truthfully,Doctor Aphra has been a main character in the canonStar Warscomics for quite some timerecently (complete with her own comic series), so it’s honestly shocking that she hasn’t been adapted to live-action yet. But, just like with Valance, it’s not too late to put her in the current continuity.

8Jaxxon
Technically a Smuggler, but Iconic Enough to Get the Live-Action Star Wars Treatment
Jaxxon is aStar Warscharacter who originated in the ‘70s Marvel Comics series(just like Valance). Except, as opposed to Valance, Jaxxon was always an ally of Luke, Han, and Leia. This anthropomorphic green rabbit is a smuggler Han knew from back in the day, who joined their crew given the heroism they exhibited by blowing up the Death Star.
WhileJaxxon represented an era ofStar Warscontent that was far more whimsical and silly(as opposed to the decidedly darker tone the franchise has seen in recent years), he should still be included in the list ofStar Warsunderworld characters that get the live-action treatment. Technically, Jaxxon predates the likes of Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn, so he’s more than earned his spot! Plus, seeing this character come to life would be absolutely incredible.

7T’onga
A Prominent Figure in the Star Wars: Bounty Hunters Comic Series
T’onga is a prominent figure in theStar Wars: Bounty Hunterscomic series, and upon taking a look into her personal story, it’s clear to see why. T’onga was a bounty hunter along with her twin brother, who actually retired from the life. That is, until her brother was murdered, returning T’onga to the criminal underworld of theStar Warsuniverse. From there,T’onga joined Beilert Valance’s crew(the canon version of Valance, who’s a tad less villainous than his Legends counterpart), and the rest is history.
The intrigue and tragedy associated withT’onga’s story would be captivating to see in live-action. Plus, she is connected to some of the greatest bounty hunters in history, including Valance, Bossk, and even Boba Fett himself, which basically just ensures that her Star Wars story would be stacked with fan-favorites if she got the live-action treatment.

6Deathstick
A Nightsister Who Became a Crimson Dawn Assassin in Star Wars
Seemingly named afterStar Wars’ most popular illegal drug,Deathstick is a nightsister who becomes an assassinworking for the Crimson Dawn, which basically makes her a bounty hunter committed to a single employer. Of course, that isn’t to say that Deathstick isn’t open to other alliances, as she has proven time and again in her canonStar Warscomic book appearances that she is one thing above all else: a survivor.
Deathstick even had her lower jaw blown off and replaced with cybernetics, but rather than letting that slow her down, she merely covered her face with cloth and continued beingthe badass witch-assassinStar Warsfans would expectsomeone like her to be. Truthfully, any Nightsister character is going to be intriguing, and Deathstick certainly lives up to the hype.

5Durge
A Star Wars Bounty Hunter Strong Enough to Take On Jedi
Durge is another legacyStar Wars Legendscharacter (like Valance and Jaxxon) who just never quite made it into the lineup of current, live-action depictions.Durge is a Gen’Dai, which is a species of sentient ‘tentacle monsters’ with orange eyes and purple bodies. Gen’Dai have the ability to regenerate from practically any injury, and that’s assuming any injuries could even be delivered, as they all wear incredibly durable (and practically impenetrable) armor.
All Gen’Dai are incredibly dangerous, and Durge stands out from the rest as being perhaps the most deadly of them all.Durge is capable of killing Jedi, as he did during the Clone Wars (depicted in theLegendscomic seriesStar Wars: Republic). And that’s why he’s such a formidable bounty hunter in the more modern era ofStar Warscanon (as shown inStar Wars: Bounty Hunters). Durge even almost made an appearance in the animated seriesStar Wars: The Clone Wars, so now it’s time to bring him to live-action.

4Cradossk
The Father of Bossk and a Leader of the Bounty Hunters’ Guild
Cradossk is the father of the legendary bounty hunter, Bossk, and a long-time leader of the Bounty Hunters’ Guild. Like Bossk, Cradossk is a Trandoshan, which is a species known for their strength and ferocity. Should a Trandoshan choose to live a life of violence and crime, there’s a good chance they’re going to excel at it, and Cradossk (like his son, Bossk), is living proof of that being the case.
A potentiallive-action Cradossk project would be an awesome chance forStar Warsto not only go into the history of one of the franchise’s most beloved bounty hunters (Bossk), but also flesh out the early days of the Bounty Hunters’ Guild while exploringStar Wars’ past through the eyes of Cradossk. All-in-all, bringing Cradossk to live-action would be an absolute win.

3Ren
Leader of the Knights of Ren who Did Bounty Hunter Jobs for the Crimson Dawn
Ren is the original leader of the Knights of Renwho dabbled in being a bounty hunter during the events of the Original Trilogy, when he and his knights worked for the Crimson Dawn. While their duties were more in the realm of thievery and access to the Force, Ren and his knights still fell within the parameters of what constitutes a bounty hunter during that period in theirStar Warshistory. But, regardless of the details surrounding his time as a bounty hunter, Ren needs to be adapted into live-action for a completely different reason.
Ren was one of the first people Ben Solo killed to become Kylo Ren, and his death meant Solo’s ascension to the position of the leader of the Knights of Ren. In a way,Ren was more of a dark side master to Kylo Ren than even Snoke was, and it would be amazing to see their relationship explored further in a future live-action project.

2Asajj Ventress
Iconic Sith-Turned-Bounty-Hunter that NEEDS the Live-Action Star Wars Treatment
This particular entry may be a bit controversial, not because she doesn’t deserve to be here, but because Asajj Ventress has been featured many times in the realm ofStar Warsanimation. Indeed, Ventress made her debut in the 2003 seriesStar Wars: The Clone Warsbefore moving seamlessly into the 2008 animated series. Whileintroduced as the Sith Apprentice of Count Dooku, Ventress would eventually become a bounty hunter.
Since herClone Warsera, Asajj Ventress has appeared inThe Bad Batchand will be featured heavily in the upcomingStar Wars: Tales of the Underworld. However, just because Asajj Ventress continues to be a prominent figure inStar Warsanimation doesn’t mean she shouldn’t be adapted into live-action as soon as possible, as seeing her fighting alongside Ahsoka and Din Djarin would be utterly epic.

1Cade Skywalker
Descendant of Luke Skywalker who Turned Away from the Jedi to Be a Bounty Hunter
This one might be a little tricky to bring into live-action, as doing so would basically mean committing to an entire era ofStar Wars(but it would definitely be worth it).Cade Skywalker is the descendant of Luke SkywalkerinStar Wars: Legacy, which takes place roughly a century after the events of the Original Trilogy. While he was raised to be a Jedi, Cade left the New Jedi Order after an attack from the One Sith. Just a teenager at the time, Cade escaped with his life, only to quickly adopt a life of violence and adventure as a bounty hunter.
Cade Skywalker is easily one of the coolest characters ever introduced inStar Wars. He isn’t afraid to tap into his dark side when he needs to, he’s inherently powerful (arguably beyond the scope of even Luke Skywalker), andthe fact that he never stopped being a bounty hunter even after saving the galaxy from the One Sith is just so badass, making Cade one of the 10Star Warsbounty hunters that need the live-action treatment.
